The module uses the player dewslider of alsacreation and modules image, image_gallery and taxonomy. Diaporama is a content, so it’s created like an article or a page (called node). It uses node’s properties.
An administration interface allows you to change defaults values of player’s properties, and each slideshow have it owns properties. Properties and images’s diaporama are shared in the drupal’s database, but player uses xml. I choose xml rather url because xml allows to show titles in slideshow and not url.

So at the creation of slideshow, modifications are done both in database and in xml file. Of course, when viewing the slideshow, only xml file is used.

INSTALLATION
Module is available for drupal 5 and 6.
To install, extract the archive in sites/all/modules and add it in your modules via the administration interface.
As has been said before, you will need the image modules, image_gallery (available here) and taxonomy.
You have to download dewslider too (I use version 5) and put it in
drupal 5 : files/diaporamas directory.
drupal 6 : sites/default/files/diaporamas directory.

Problem to show images
I don't know why in the xml file there is no img src written. I've configured this to take the images proposed by tick them. But in the page, just the title, no images. Could you help me please ?
Have you taken the last
Have you taken the last module on http://drupal.org/diaporama ?
Can you paste me your xml code ?
Do you use others modules ?
How do I force Diaporama to re-compose the flash movie?
Hi,
I am using the Diaporama module on a site, and I believe I am following all the directions correctly. I made separate nodes for each image, put all those images in a gallery, and then in the diaporama settings, included all those images that showed up.
When I made the first movie, it worked beautifully. However, now that I've changed some of the images (updated with better quality or added caption text), the flash movie won't update. The result is that the old movie with the old images continue to show, even though the diaporama config page shows the thumbnails for the new pages.
I've tried clearing all cache (FireFox, IE, Chrome) before reloading; turning off the module and then turning it back on from the Admin page; removing it from the block and putting it back in the Block settings page; and various other tricks to let Diaporama know that the pictures have changed.
Any ideas? I'd greatly appreciate any help.

How to force Diaporama to re-compose the flash movie?
Hi,
Diaporama module (and dewslider flash slideshow) works with static file to generate itself (files/diaporamas/diaporama[nid].xml )
When you make modifications in your images, xml file doesn't take this modifications. After making modifications in your images, submit again your diaporama, and it will update.
After submiting a diaporama again, (sometimes) you have to clear browser cache.
What do you mean by submit???
Hello! I have a question... I have the same problem that diaporama doesn't update my changes... when you say that we need to submit the diaporama again what do you mean by that???? unpublish and publish the diaporama????
Why doesn't update changes after modify
No, you don't have to unpublish and publish diaporama.
To explain, Diaporama is a flash slideshow. When your net browser load flash, it stores it in a temporary directory (this action is named cache). When you reload the page containing diaporama, the net browser doesn't generate again the flash but take it in the cache.
So, when you update diaporama, net browser doesn't know it has to not use old flash in cache but a new flash generated.
To overrise flash slideshow with firefox, press Ctrl + Shift + Suppr, check Cache and click Ok.
After reloading the diaporama page, you should see your update.
I hope this answer your question.
Doesn't work
Hello and thanks for answer my question... I'm sorry to tell you this but it doesn't work I tryed with two different explorers (firefox and IE) and neither of them worked... once I've created the diaporama it doesn't matter how many cache I delete it doesn't show the changes I've made so I have to create a new one every time I have a mistake cause I can't change the images or the effects on my slideshow...

thanks for this good info :)
This is a must have !
Re: View your pictures in a slide show to flash on Drupal
Bonjour, j'essaie d'utiliser le module, j'ai bien activé les modules dépendants, créé des images en tant que nodes, puis créé un contenu de type diaporama. Mais ça ne marche pas le lecteur ne s'affiche pas et Drupal me dit :
# /4: creation failed
# /5: creation failed
# /6: creation failed
# /7: creation failed
# /8: creation failed
# xml file diaporama_10.xml has no images.
Que se passe=t=il ?
Re: View your pictures in a slide show to flash on Drupal

Re: View your pictures in a slide show to flash on Drupal
Salut,
